Agricultural production is increasingly affected by climate change, soil degradation, limited water availability, and rising demand for food. This study examines the potential of climate-smart and precision agriculture practices to improve crop productivity and resource-use efficiency in smallholder farming systems. The research focuses on the application of soil moisture sensors, satellite-based crop monitoring, targeted fertilizer management, crop rotation, and water-saving irrigation techniques. A mixed-method approach was used, combining field observations, farmer interviews, and comparative yield analysis across selected agricultural areas. The results indicate that the integration of digital monitoring technologies with sustainable farming practices can increase crop yields, reduce unnecessary water and fertilizer use, and strengthen farmers’ ability to respond to changing environmental conditions. However, several challenges were identified, including high initial investment costs, limited technical knowledge, insufficient digital infrastructure, and restricted access to agricultural extension services. The study concludes that climate-smart and precision agriculture can support the development of more productive, resilient, and environmentally sustainable farming systems. Successful implementation requires cooperation among farmers, researchers, government institutions, and technology providers. Financial assistance, practical training, and locally adapted technologies are also essential to ensure that smallholder farmers can effectively adopt and benefit from these agricultural innovations.
